The Wharf
After 6 months work the offices of Forte Cloth have been restored to how they would have looked in the 1800s.
The wharf was build in 1765 and has taken on a number of looks. With the help of lottery funding and British Waterways the 1st phase is now complete. The 2nd phase which is mostly landscaping will start later in the year.

Royal Visit To Forte Cloth.
On the 25th March 2004 Forte Cloth had the pleasure of being visited by HRH The Duke Of Kent. Ian Wallace(MD) gave a brief history on the company and showed HRH a collection of designs which had just been completed for the USA market. HRH was most fascinated in the design process, from storyboards and concepts becoming beautifully created designs on the CAD system. Ian introduced HRH to the design team on his tour of the company. To end his visit to Forte Cloth Ian presented HRH a rug design which had been created from HRH The Duke Of Kent Coats of Arms of which he was most impressed with. We trust HRH The Duke Of Kent enjoyed his visit to Forte Cloth

Archive Find
Forte cloth has recently acquired over 10000 documents which relate to fabric patterns generated in the 50s and 60s. Covering both floral and contemporary styles these designs are now available for development on purchase. Painted in 3 to 5 colours the patterns are unique but amazingly fall immediately into todays flooring trends.
